What happens at a home buyer consultation?
So, you're interested in becoming a homeowner.. Congratulations!
The very first step in the process is to reach out for help from a REALTOR. If you are in the Hampton Roads area, I will schedule a meeting with you called a Buyer Consultation! (If you are out of my local area of expertise, I would be happy to chat with you about what you are looking for and find an amazing REALTOR in your area to work with.)
At this meeting, we will:
- Talk about what you're looking for in a home. What are your goals? What is important to you in this search?
- Chat through the basics of the home buying process.
- Set up a customized home search portal for you to see listings in your desired areas and specifications!
- Talk about the vital teammates we will be working with throughout the process, including a local lender and title company.
Hiring a buyer's agent to represent you in a real estate transaction is so important, you have ONE person to call to schedule showings on your behalf, you have someone protecting you and your interests throughout the process, and you aren't going in "blind" to all that can happen throughout a transaction.
In most cases, buyer's agent fees are covered by the seller, so all of that service is free to you!
